Pam & Tom Hughes— your organizing friends and personal story consultants!

The beginnings

In 1998, our family relocated to San Antonio from the Midwest and, as I learned to cope with no basement, alas my cluttering days were numbered! Working to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to transform our lives and our home, I realized how much other people might benefit from some of the things I had learned. So, in 1999 I founded Streamlined Living Solutions and joined the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) shortly thereafter.

Creating our team

In 2001 my husband Tom joined me in the business after 30 years in the corporate environment. Together we offer a wealth of ideas, experience, and support to families and small business owners who are often weighed down by the clutter surrounding them. We enjoy the challenges and mission of simplifying their lives by providing organizing help, workshops, speaking and teaching engagements, and consulting services.

Developing our horizons

Continuing to develop our own skills and education in this industry is an integral part of what we have to give our clients. And so it is important for us to be a part of several premier organizing associations. I am a member of the inaugural group of Certified Professional Organizers ®, a Golden Circle member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), and serve as its Golden Circle Liaison to the San Antonio area. I also am the founding President of the NAPO-San Antonio Chapter, currently serving as the Immediate Past President. In addition, I am also proud to be a member of Faithful Organizers, an international association of Christian Professional Organizers. I often mentor new organizers in the San Antonio area, providing them an opportunity to learn from my experiences and hopefully help them define how they want to work in this great industry.

Moving forward

Recognizing that many of our clients also had wonderful stories to tell and memories to share but are overwhelmed by the thought of trying to work through all the photos, keepsakes and mementos they have accumulated, we launched our affiliate company Preserve My Past in 2009. It is indeed a pleasure and a passion of ours to serve as their videographers and personal story consultants.
